Scrapping Getaways provides services to you subject to the following conditions. By registering for and/or attending a Scrapping Getaway event or shopping with us, you accept the following conditions. Please read them carefully.
All content on this web site is the copyrighted property of Scrapping Getaways or is used by permission by Scrapping Getaways. You may not otherwise reproduce, distribute, modify, publish or in any other way exploit any of the content without Scrapping Getaways' prior written consent.
Scrapping Getaways® has taken reasonable efforts to ensure that the content of our website information and any printed information is accurate; however, all content is provided on an "As Is" and "As Available" basis. In no event shall Scrapping Getaways be liable to anyone for delays, inaccuracies, errors or omissions with respect to the information, transmission or delivery of all or any part thereof, for any damage arising there from, or the results obtained from the use of the information provided on this website or from the use of products or services sold, or inability to use the service, or any information, or transactions provided on the service or any delay of such information or service, or any information obtained at an event.
By submitting your registration, you hereby release Scrapping Getaways, its owners, its employees, and any sponsors, vendors, instructors or associates from any and all liability, claims, lawsuits, damages, losses, costs, expenses and personal injuries of any kind whether or not foreseeable, which arise out of or result from your attendance, participation or traveling to or from a Scrapping Getaway®.
The Content of the website and printed materials, as well as the program content of the Scrapping Getaways® is subject to change without notice and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting on the site.
If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining conditions.
YOU AGREE TO REVIEW THESE AGREEMENTS PERIODICALLY TO BE AWARE OF MODIFICATIONS AND YOUR CONTINUED ACCESS OR USE OF THE SITE SHALL BE DEEMED YOUR CONCLUSIVE ACCEPTANCE OF THE MODIFIED AGREEMENT.
By accessing and using this web site, you agree that the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, without regard to applicable conflicts of law principles, will apply to all matters relating to use of the site. You also submit to the personal jurisdiction of Pennsylvania and the venue of its courts. Any dispute relating in any way to your visit to scrappinggetaways.com or to products or services you purchase through scrappinggetaways.com shall be submitted to confidential arbitration in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Arbitration under this agreement shall be conducted under the rules then prevailing of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator's award shall be binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no arbitration under this Agreement shall be joined to an arbitration involving any other party subject to this Agreement, whether through class arbitration proceedings or otherwise.
Scrapping Getaways® is a registered trademark of Scrapping Getaways® and may not be used in connection with any other product or service in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among customers, or in any manner that disparages or discredits Scrapping Getaways® or our website www.ScrappingGetaways.com. Any symbol used in connection with a Trademark on the web site (for example, ®, TM or SM) must be included in any permitted use of the Trademark. By accessing and using this web site, you agree that you will not use any of the information found on this website for your own personal or commercial gain. You agree that nothing will be copied and/or used on your own literature, website, or other information to compete in any way, shape or form with Scrapping Getaways. If you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate scrappinggetaways. com's intellectual property rights, scrappinggetaways.com may seek injunctive or other appropriate relief in any state or federal court in the state of Pennsylvania, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts.
The deposit for your chosen package price is paid upon registration. Due to our payments being due at the hotels, Scrapping Getaways must have your balance paid by the posted deadline date for each event. In the event that you do not make your final payment or contact us by the due date, we will automatically charge your account for the remaining balance plus a $20 late fee and the cancellation policy will apply.
We understand that there are occasionally unusual circumstances that occur and will make every effort to work out a mutually acceptable payment plan if you contact us prior to the due date. If we do not hear from you, we will proceed as above.
There will be a $25.00 penalty fee to cover bank charges added to your account balance for any checks returned.
I understand that each person must complete a separate registration form and roommates must register within a 24 hour period. Registrants will receive an email copy of their registration. Registrants who do not send their final payment by the deadline will have their credit card charged for the remaining balance on or after that date.
For any cancellations made from Registration date through 30 days before the event start-date, we will refund your deposit less $25 processing fee and less your hotel fees, depending on the hotel cancellation rules.
For any cancellations received by us less than 30 days before the event but more than 15 days, we will refund your deposit less a $50 processing fee and and less any non-refundable hotel fees.
Should you cancel within 15 days of the event, we will refund your deposit less a $75 processing fee and and less any non-refundable hotel fees.
There are NO refunds for no shows.
ROOMMATES: If you cancel and have roommates, your roommates registrations will be automatically changed to the correct package and they will be responsible for the increase due for this change.
Full refunds, less a $25 processing fee, will be given if a replacement takes your package. The replacement may be chosen by you but we must be notified and receive a registration form with the replacement's information at least 72 hours prior to the event.
Package changes after the initial registration will incur a $15 fee.
Scrapping Getaways reserves the right to cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for any associated costs (such as travel) incurred by registrants. In case of cancellation by Scrapping Getaways, full refunds less any non-refundable hotel fees will be issued promptly.
Our Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and use the personal information you may provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site and our products and services. This Overall Privacy Statement discloses the privacy practices for the entire Web Site. You will provide us information about yourself when you register for a Scrapping Getaways event, purchase products from Scrapping Getaways, or register for email newsletters and alerts. If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. We use personal information for purposes of administering and expanding our business activities, providing customer service and making available other products and services to our customers and prospective customers. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our Web site, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. You may notify us at any time if you do not wish to receive these offers by responding to the option to discontinue at the bottom of our newsletter. As you shop on our Web site, the site uses its cookies to differentiate you from other shoppers so your shopping cart is only available to you. Cookies allow us to calculate the aggregate number of people visiting our Web site and which parts of the site are most popular. This helps us gather feedback in order to better serve our customers. Scrapping Getaways will not disclose any information that personally identifies you to other parties without your consent unless the purpose and manner of disclosure is clearly defined in advance or we believe in good faith that disclosure is legally required or to protect our rights. We also will provide contact information to our vendors in the event that they show us proof of an open tab not paid by any of our attendees. We use third parties to facilitate our business, including, but not limited to, sending email and processing credit card payments. In connection with these offerings and business operations, our partners and other third parties may have access to your personal information for use in connection with business activities. As we develop our business, we may buy or sell assets or business offerings. Customer, email, and visitor information is generally one of the transferred business assets in these types of transactions.
For the comfort and convenience of all our guests, we must insist that all attendees are familiar with and abide by the following policies.
Children between the ages of 12 and 18 may register and have a space in the cropping room but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No children under the age of 12 years may enter the cropping or vendor room without permission from Scrapping Getaways. Any guest causing a disruption will be required to leave the Scrapping Getaways event.
No food is permitted on the cropping tables. Food may be consumed only in designated areas of the cropping room. Beverages are allowed only in a spill proof mug.
No alcoholic beverages will be permitted
Only registered scrappers will be allowed in the cropping room and only registered scrappers may attend classes.
Instructors and vendors may not participate in layout contests.
Scrapping supplies may be placed on top of or under my assigned table. No supplies will be allowed to remain in the aisles. Fire codes prohibit blocking any walkways or doorways.
Scrapping Getaways® does not supply electrical cords or outlets. If you choose to take advantage of a nearby electrical outlet in the hotel crop room, you must secure your own electrical cord to the floor with duct tape only. No clear tape or masking tape shall be acceptable, and will need to be replaced immediately with the proper duct tape. If this is not possible, the electric cord will need to be removed immediately. Scrapping Getaways® cannot supply duct tape to any attendees. Scrapping Getaways.® is furthermore released from any and all liability, claims, lawsuits, damages, losses, costs, and expenses of any kind which arise out of or result from your usage of the hotel's electrical supply.
Places are assigned and may not be switched.
Incidentals incurred by you such as phone bills, room service, movie charges, etc., are not included in the package price and it is your responsibility to pay the hotel for these extra charges before check-out.
All crop shop purchases require submission of a credit
card for payment. If a customer does not settle their tab prior to leaving an
event, their total tab plus a $10 handling charge will be charged to their
credit card. Unopened items may be returned up until 12pm on the last day of the
event.
Online orders may be returned up to 14 days after they are shipped and require
an RMA number as authorization. Any shipping charges are the responsibility of
the purchaser and there is a 15% restocking fee.
With your attendance at this event, you agree that you and/or your scrapbooks may be included in publicity photos.
It is unethical for any competing business to attend a Scrapping Getaway to promote their own business. Unsolicited advertising in the form of coupons, flyers, gifts to customers and any other means, printed or otherwise is strictly prohibited. Any person or group found distributing unsolicited advertising will be subject to advertising fees determined by Scrapping Getaways and may be banned from that and all future events. By registering for the event, you accept these conditions. You authorize advertising fees to be automatically charged to your credit card.
In no event shall Scrapping Getaways® be responsible for non-receipt of a registration for an advertised event. It is the registrant's responsibility to follow-up on their registration after a reasonable amount of time has passed without receipt of a confirmation.
Scrapping Getaways reserves the right to cancel, postpone or delay any event due to unforeseen circumstances.
We will communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on this site. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
